About Edward Schulten

Having been born and raised between the Netherlands and France, Edward Schulten’s fascination with the finer elements of wine began early. This passion drove him to pursue a formal education in Oenology and secure internships at renowned wineries in Bordeaux, Sauternes, and Burgundy, where he honed his craft. Along the way, he developed an equal love for pairing exceptional wines with high-quality cheeses and foods.
Upon moving to the United States, Edward took on the role of Sommelier at the prestigious French Room Restaurant in Dallas, Texas, where he curated a critically acclaimed wine list. His journey then led him to California, where he has spent over 35 years as a winemaker, further refining his expertise in the art of wine production.
During the 1990s, Edward also introduced over 40 international cheeses to weekend markets, delighting customers with an exceptional selection that showcased his passion for unique flavors. This led him to explore cheese-making itself, a challenging yet rewarding endeavor that allowed him to dive deeper into the culinary arts. Today, Edward continues to combine his expertise in wine and cheese to create unforgettable experiences for connoisseurs and novices alike.
