We’re back for our 4rd annual Yuba Foothills Food & Water Festival and it’s gonna be even tastier than ever! Mark your calendars for September 19th, because the heart of the Yuba Foothills is about to explode with deliciousness.

Held at the Alcouffe Center this year’s Festival will be a one day event with short form workshops and tastings where you can learn about coffee, beer, bread, cheese, wine and more. There will be food competitions, Games for the kids and Music. Local vendors apply here today!

We want to celebrate the incredible community we have here in the Yuba Foothills. It’s a chance to connect with your neighbors, discover hidden gems, and, of course, stuff your face with delicious, locally-sourced food and drinks.

So, what are you waiting for? Grab your reusable tote bag, your thirst for knowledge, and your appetite for adventure. We can’t wait to see you there!

P.S. Don’t forget to share this post and spread the word! The more the merrier (and the more food we can all share). And if you wish to be a sponsor of the event, take a look at the packages available here – your support is ever appreciated!

✨ 2025 Festival Recap ✨

What an incredible day! We are still buzzing from the unforgettable energy of the 3rd Annual Yuba Foothills Food & Water Festival last Saturday September 20th at the Alcouffe Center fairgrounds.

A Record Year!

This wouldn’t have been possible without the dedication of our incredible volunteers, from DOHIF, YES and YFACA crews to our tastings and presentations stars. They spent countless hours planning, setting up, and ensuring everything ran smoothly for our over 500 attendees. A huge shout-out to each and every one of them!

Our Deepest Gratitude

An event of this scale is simply impossible without community collaboration. Thank you to the 20+ generous sponsors whose financial support provided the foundation for everything we achieved. Your commitment to the Yuba Foothills community is truly inspiring. You are what makes this festival special—a true celebration of our local resources, skills, and neighbors.

Visit foodandwaterfestival.com/sponsors if you’re interested in learning more about our sponsorship opportunities.

Celebrating Our Community

A special round of applause goes to all the talented vendors who brought our vision to life. Your delicious food, unique crafts, and passion for local produce made the festival a true feast for the senses. We’re committed to showcasing your expertise and fostering a thriving “local-first” movement in the Yuba Foothills.

Learning from Each Other

A special note of gratitude must go to the 25 incredible peer-led homesteading presenters. Your willingness to share deep, practical knowledge—from advanced irrigation techniques to histories of water in the foothills—was the true heart of the Food & Water Festival’s educational mission. These community experts didn’t just give presentations; they directly connected our community with actionable, sustainable skills. We owe them a debt of gratitude for volunteering their time, preparing their materials, and inspiring hundreds of attendees to build more resilient, self-sufficient lives.

Fun with food!

To our Food Competition winners and entrants, well done and thank you! To our Judge Tim Styczynski of the UC Davis Tasting lab, you’ve helped us raise the level of food tasting at the Festival and we look forward to Further collaboration with UC Davis. Thank you Freja from BFM for organizing this inaugural showdown!

Land Appreciation Dinner
YES kicked off the Yuba Foothills Food & Water Festival with a special Farm-to-Table Dinner hosted by YES Charter. Guests enjoyed a vibrant celebration of local abundance, featuring seasonal food and wine grown and raised right here in the Yuba Foothills.

Tastings of the highest degree!

To our Food Tasting Hosts, who educated and guided us on Cheese, Wine, Chocolate, Apple and Honey for the formal Gourmet Tastings and informal booth tastings. We appreciate you Eddie, Heidi, Paul, Louise, Laurie and the YES students who helped!

A big thanks to the YES Farm to School Team including Tatiana, and Nick (and baby Orion), Debbie, BreAnne & Charity (and teams!) who made this event run so smoothly and raise the standards to such a professional level. They keep outdoing themselves!

Your Contribution Matters
