About Melanie Criley

Melanie is a compost coach: certified through Dr. Elaine Ingham’s Soil Food Web School™ to preform microscopic soil assessments in her laboratory (Melanie’s Let’s See Biology). She is certified to make Thermophilic (Hot) Compost, liquid compost extracts and Tea, also through Dr Elaine’s school. She has studied Horticulture and good gardening practices for most of her 50 years of life. She is a certified Master Gardner/ Master composter through the UC Davis extension office of Nevada County in Northern California. Her passion is to teach and inspire the home gardener to Make their own compost to stop using commercial fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, and Fungicides. She wants to inspire the home gardener to work with mother nature and not against.
