Olla – “a porous ceramic vessel that is buried underground, filled with water, and is used to release irrigation water slowly to gardens specifically in warmer climate areas.” Olla has been used in agriculture for thousands of years as a reliable and economical way of watering plants. In this coming workshop, you will explore the benefits of using the olla and build our own mini version out of raw clay.

Shai is an educator and an artist who leads workshops and classes in handicrafts. He is inspired by indigenous art and traditions and in recent years has been incorporating local clay in his work.
